The superior wear and tear resistance of FDA polyurethane will outlast traditionally used components by 4-5 times, drastically reducing maintenance.
Custom Blended Food Grade Urethanes
It is critical that rollers and components used in food processing applications meets FDA regulations. Moving beyond the historical use of rubber, nitrile, UHMW and nylon, specially formulated FDA polyurethanes from Kastalon have far more to offer.
Choose “Blue”
The latest advancement includes the “Choose Blue” FDA compliant materials for easier optical inspection during food processing. Blue is more visible than standard “natural” colored polyurethane and is the only color that does not naturally exist in the food chain. Should components or rollers wear during operations, small fragments are more likely to be picked up by the detection system.
When specifying the FDA material, consider choosing Blue rather than the Natural for a new look, easier compliance, and greater functionality.
Kastalon FDA Compliant Materials for Indirect Food Contact (21 CFR 174.5)
FDA Dry Food Contact (CFR 177.1680)
This material excels in applications in which high tear strength, abrasion resistance and dynamic performance are required.
