Signs and Symptoms of Exposure:
No specific information available concerning exposure to the product. If formaldehyde is released as an off-gas, a burning sensation and tearing of the eyes may occur. An irritating odor may be noted.
Severe Immediate Hazards:
For skin: Contact with hot or molten polymer may cause thermal burns.
For inhalation: Thermal processing fumes and vapors may cause irritation to the nose and throat.
Emergency and First Aid Procedures:
For skin: If hot polymer burns the skin, immerse burned area in cold running water and obtain medical attention immediately.
For inhalation: Remove affected individual to fresh air; obtain medical attention for irritation or other exposure symptom.

Handling: When thermal or melt processing, wear long pants, long sleeves, well insulated gloves, and face shield when there is a chance of contact.

Respiratory Protection: For exposures to thermal processing fumes or vapors in excess of permissible exposure levels, use an organic vapor respirator approved by NIOSH.
Excessive nuisance dust may be irritating to the eyes and breathing passages and may cause skin abrasion. The American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists recommends a threshold limit value (TLV) of 10 milligrams per cubic meter of air for general nuisance dust.
Ventilation: Maintain vapor or dust levels below the permissible TLV concentration by the use of an adequate local or mechanical (general) exhaust system which discharges at a point outside the workplace.
Eye/Face Protection: None required in normal use. For grinding operations, use safety goggles and face shield.
